The Synchronic Blow Off Valve has set the standard for impossibly fast response from a Blow Off/By-Pass Valve. Completely modular, it can be installed as a vent-to-atmosphere or re-circulating valve. The patented Synchronic technology (Patent no. 6,863,260) eliminates the diaphragm that is typically used by other manufacturers, and instead features a multi-tier piston actuator that equalizes the force required to open the valve at any boost pressure significantly reducing or eliminating compressor surge.
By design, this is a pull-type valve, boost pressure keeps it closed - as boost pressure builds, there is more pressure seating the valve (keeping it closed), meaning no boost leaks upwards of 100+ psi of boost. The valve is designed to remain open under vacuum conditions. For maximum performance and reliability, it is recommended to install the Synchronic BOV in a re-circulated configuration with the discharge between the MAF sensor and turbocharger inlet. For customers with MAF equipped vehicles that want the valve to vent to atmosphere, it is recommended to install Synchronic's Anti-Stall Valve Kit.
